How Did the Japanese Reach Singapore

The Japanese reached Singapore by any means possible. This is mainly because they had limited men, resources and knowledge so they rode bicycles all through malaya and into Singapore. while on the way to Singapore they made sure that any forces that would stand in their way would be eliminated by means of aircraft. They sent zero fighter planes to bomb Singapore defenses and advanced on. On their way one of the most famous battles was the battle of Bukit Chandu. in this battle the japanese disguised themselves as Punjabi troops but their cover was blown and they attacked General Adnan and his troops with full force. Even though General Adnan put up a good fight the japanese won and hung his men from a tree.

Once they reached Singapore they swiftly took it in less then a week. It was the biggest defeat for the british in WWII so far.
